Sigh... I may have to resume collecting skylanders after noticing how good the fourth game is going to be next fall. But this time I'm going to try a new approach to it. When a new game gets released. I go for collection of ALL the special ability skylanders first (Giants, swappers, etc.) Because I have a fetish for that. My goal was to get all sixteen swappers. I only have 11. After collecting all special figures, I'm free to get any other figure or variants of the specials I want. But why did I bother getting regular figures during the swapper process? Last week after satisfying my urge to get some disney movies and watching them (Frozen and Wreck it Ralph, awesome movies), I started thinking about Disney Infinity. I had the idea of buying the starter pack and using the disney characters I know and love. So I thought about what I'm going to do with this game. First of all, I was afraid this is going to be another money hassle like Skylanders. But having seeing Infinity's collection of figures to be literally 10% of the whole Skylanders set of figures, I'm assuming it's going to be less harsh on my money. A month ago, I started losing interest in the Skylanders games. I haven't been playing them all this March so far. It looks like I'm done with building my Skylander collection. There are several reasons why I stopped playing. First, there is A LOT of repetition involved with collecting items, levelling up, and collecting gold. I was pretty tired of gold collecting that I used my two sky diamonds to spam the Woodburrow dummies. I used Grilla Drilla because he's REALLY effective with farming sky diamond with the dummies. Then I can use him to get the bottom half upgrades. I don't see anything to do next with skylanders when I max them. Playing
